What can I say about Tron, well first off being an actor myself I was thrilled to see a semi-family friend Jeff get a reprieve at the end of the film trailer for Tron: Legacy (oops was that a spoiler, can you have a spoiler for a trailer?) Well anyways, my father (the late "Kurt Garfield") did a film called "Seven Hours till Judgement" with Beau Bridges (Jeff’s older brother) and needless to say it was a nice suprise seeing Jeff there in what appeared to be the position in Tron World as the MCP… *um, that stands for ‘Master Control Program’ if i’m remembering that right, and of which was played by another of my favorite of all time actors David Warner. Would I buy this game? Probably, but not usually. Would you? I mean are you going to? (Think "Evil" from Time Bandits).

Anyway, Tron has certainly made it’s legacy known from the original very difficult and first ever puck controlled video game (that’s the spinny spinny thing you used to swindle around Kevin Flynn’s arms to take out all the spiders or the cone of the MCP and all the other stuff, but the coolest memory of my childehood was the room the people mover brought us through at Disneyland showing us the light cycle sequence as if we where right there. I'd like to hear your opinion on what you think of Tron Evolution. Is it a game you think you'll need a walkthrough strategy guide for? Is Tron Evolution one of those games you've been waiting for or maybe even pre-ordered? Let me know what you think of the game itself.

It’s hard to compare the thrill of that experience, unless of course, the new Tron Legacy film includes a 3D version of a comparable sequence, along with i’d ask for maybe 5 more minutes of it since it was just so darn cool!

Now to the game, we’ve seen ALOT of Disney Titles popping up lately, from the Pixar bunch to the bona fide cell painted variety, along with the return of Epic Mickey in all his mavericky Epic’ness. When it comes to titles like Tron Evolution i'm not sure it's absolutely everything I had dreamed of, I mean it's good, but do you like it enough to call it a favorite game? From what you've seen or played so far? But what about Tron Evolution? Is this game going to be fun for an old gamer like myself even though it’s only a 12+ rating? Let’s me give me give my best objective opinion on this front. Is this the kind of game you think you'll be buying? Well chances are you did or you wouldn't be here... or perhaps you are looking for reviews first. I normally wouldn't get this game, but it's just not my favorite genre. If you haven’t watrched the trailer yet, it’s posted below and i’ll get into the gameplay aspects of what I believe is to come on the next page.

Now of course the video game trailer for the prequel to the Tron Legacy movie does start off with the most important thing that would and most likely make me desire purchasing this dual-decade novalty game item. I couldn't wait to get Tron Evolution just to play it. But then when I got into it, it seemed a bit like something i've seen before (hmm, wonder why..) but honestly, does that bother you? Or are you a big fan of Tron Evolution? Let me know, i'd like to hear some opinions. The light cycles and those wierdo hammer head floating bad guy things, only this time in much more explicit detail. How do you feel about Tron Evolution overall? Okay, it goes on to talk about the weapons (which we all remember, or maybe you don’t but those frisbee’s that also glow), and the attack and thunder of the light cycles battling it out almost lost me. I'd like to hear your opinion on what you think of Tron Evolution. Is it a game you think you'll need a walkthrough strategy guide for? Is Tron Evolution one of those games you've been waiting for or maybe even pre-ordered? Let me know what you think of the game itself. Why? Well in the original 80's version you at least were protected inside a light cycle. It magically built around you by holding a bar and it closed up with you inside it with a nice window to protect you unless of course… you crash.

These new carnfounded light cycles are like harleys with wider wheels and the danger is always eminent as you are free to suck up any bugs or computer glitches that may get in your teeth (yes that was a pun)….. The final selling point in the trailer is a matrix style battling with bullet time jumping around and avoiding the frisbee quot;laserarng" i’ll call it, and well, it looked alot more like cutscenes that gameplay to me, but even if that’s the best parts of gameplay they could come up with, it kind of falls flat for me. How do you feel about Tron Evolution overall? Hmf, upset, no Tron game for me to waste my special time on. Are you already playing Tron Evolution? What do you think of it so far? Because it will probably suck.

Now on to the actual gameplay (above), it appears to be a multi-platforming set of levels for the most part reminding me of a few other games I got frustrated with and simply gave up on. But the story is there, to stop the virus from destroying the Tron world. When it comes to titles like Tron Evolution i'm not sure it's absolutely everything I had dreamed of, I mean it's good, but do you like it enough to call it a favorite game? From what you've seen or played so far? The bullet time gameplay is there, and seems to work smoothly enough, and without a map marker to show where your next objective is, the virtual spelunking alone (that’s cave exploring virtually which is my favourite thing on earth to do in any game, like Tomb Raider for example), the battle is medoicre, but the gameplay is mostly non-violent for the youngsters, and yes, it’s a Disney game banking on promoting the next Tron Legacy film, so you have that to go on, but personally I wont’ be picking up this game. Would I buy this game? Probably, but not usually. Would you? I mean are you going to?

There will however, of course be a full Tron: Evolution Walkthrough posted for all those younger gamers out there that really need the experience and of course I hope they enjoy it to pieces like I did the with the original film. When it comes to titles like Tron Evolution i'm not sure it's absolutely everything I had dreamed of, I mean it's good, but do you like it enough to call it a favorite game? From what you've seen or played so far?
